Mykonos is to Greece as Ibiza is to Spain. The bold and the beautiful flock here from around the Aegean and, increasingly, further afield to soak up the sun, excellent food and fantastic party scene. That’s not to say there isn’t a quieter side to Mykonos, and at only 15 kilometres across you won’t have to go far to seek solitude. The island is packed with stylish boutiques selling jewellery and homewares from across the Aegean, while the island is a joy to explore. Wander around the windmills that crown the top of the town and offer fantastic views, or head to Little Venice on the harbour to watch the sunset stain the horizon deep purple.
