So, it has been delayed… again.
As we still await some sort of solution to the Brexit conundrum, we take a look at some key things to consider if you take a luxury holiday in Europe next year because regardless of how things (eventually) do play out, one thing is clear for travel; Brexit is definitely going to have an impact. If you are thinking of travelling to Europe post-Brexit then there are several key points that you should try to bear in mind in order to avoid disappointment; in this Micro-blog, we attempt to simplify those points in byte-size fashion:
New Passport?
Check if you need to renew, on the day of travel your passport MUST be valid for at least another 6 months AND be less than 10 years old; it can take up to 3 weeks to renew
Travel insurance with healthcare cover?
Make sure you get the right insurance as after Brexit your European Health Insurance Card may no longer be valid
Driving abroad?
After Brexit you will need an International Driving Permit to drive in some countries
Travelling with pets?
You’ll need to allow 4 months to arrange this after Brexit as the existing pet passport scheme will end
Travelling for business?
You and your qualifications may need to meet with certain requirements in some countries, plus you might have to notify HMRC if you will be working in the EU
Here at IAB Travel we strive to make your all-round luxury holiday experience easier, so do feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions or are looking to book your next getaway without any fuss…
