Elbow Beach Bermuda Resort & Spa
OVERVIEW
Elbow Beach Bermuda Resort & Spa opened in 1908 and quickly established itself as the grand dame of Bermuda’s hotels. At the time no one had dared build a hotel by the beach so the resort became a pioneer on the island, drawing wealthy visitors out of the capital to the shores of Elbow Beach. And there they have remained, and they still flock here in their droves to take in the fresh sea breezes, warm temperatures and stunning views.
The resort’s 98 rooms have decamped from the buttercup-yellow main building to individual detached cottages all around the resort, harnessing chic interiors and plenty of space just steps from the sand. The resort is also home to Mickey’s Bistro, one of Bermuda’s best restaurants just 20 yards from the surf.
There’s also a brand-new spa, with six private suites furnished with showers, soaking tubs and daybeds. The beach remains the star attraction – nearly a mile-long stretch of pink powdery sand in which to scrunch your toes.
